Imagine a custom schedule built from hundreds of options, wholesome food, good wine, challenges and the professional instruction to meet them. You can find time to yourself or the synergy of dauntless women. This is an event where you indulge in any outdoor activity you desire without a shred of guilt. Chris Burkard is a twenty-nine-year-old travel, landscape, and adventure photographer who makes his home on California’s Central Coast. But if you are one of the more than 1.5 million who follow Chris on social media, you’d be excused for thinking that he was permanently on the road.Chris’ work has been published in National Geographic, The New Yorker, GQ, Men’s Journal, Vogue, Conde Nast Traveler, and Surfer Magazine, where is a staff photographer.Chris has also published or contributed to several books:The California Surf Project (2006); Plight of the Torpedo People (2012); Russia: The Outpost Vol. I (2013); Distant Shores (2013); and, most recently, High Tide: A Surf Odyssey (2015). Last year Chris was honored to speak at TED in Vancouver. The title of his talk: “The Joy of Surfing in Ice-Cold Water.”
